I have that problem with my Dome light, map lights shut off, i thought maybe it had to do with the way the led bulb was put together. I've never had it run down my battery yet. I might have to pull that cover off and make sure that there's no voltage there with the light off.

I work for a lighting company and I have LEDs all over my truck and I do not have that problem. It depends on the LEDs themselves.

I have that problem with the dome light and not the map light. So I just turn of the dome light. Don't know the fix I would like to know also.

Try replacing one of the LED's with a std bulb. If that cures it, you'll need to put in a load resistor to load the "off timer", the one that keeps the lights for a few seconds after everything else is off. Tis a common problem converting over to LED's from std bulbs. Not enough load to make some of the other elecronics work right, sometimes.
