How do you like the interface and the overall speed of operation?

I had it professionally installed. The interface with phone, steering wheel etc. is perfect. It is very user friendly. It takes about 10-15 seconds or so to start after turning the ignition, but I will get used to that. Display is very crisp. NAV works flawless. Sound is excellent. All this considering the relative low price of the unit. Had a backup camera added to it.

I have one in my 08. I updated it to 4.4 android. I've had it for a little under a year. I'm wondering if newer ones are better engineered now. These are the issues I had:
1. The radio sounds terrible and muffled. It's confusing because the Bluetooth audio sounds so clear.
2. Mic is terrible, during calls there is so much static.
3.the antenna signal is bad too. Occasionally I would get static from stations that were so clear with the oem.
4 bass is lacking. Stock unit had better bass handling .

The good:
1 Bluetooth sound is excellent.
2. Navigation is pretty good and quick
3. Stock look is awesome.
4. Android apps!
5. Steering wheel controls worked perfectly.
6. There is and xda forum that people have been modifying the software.

I've only had it installed for 2 months, but no issues so far. Sound quality is much improved over stock system. My only complaint is that it takes a minute to boot up.
FYI Those head units have been around for some years BUT they must of swapped the windows software for android. I have had 2 over the span for 4 years now. One died after 2 years but was covered under warranty.

That is a great deal-- i would certainly go with that option.

I have been looking pretty hard, and there is such a wide difference in prices, especially for the 4.2 and the 4.4. I am really leaning towards a 4.4 with the quad core processor.

Its the hui fei android unit for the F-150. I don't know if they make it anymore, but if you do a search for it, several should pop up. After researching this android stereo, you'll find out that they seem to use the same basic hardware with different modified software. Most come from china.
