Default Android Head Units

Has anybody installed one of these units? Since I am firmly on Team Android, I'd like to put one of these in instead of a regular double din.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I bought the unit below.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/191018707309

I've only had it installed for 2 months, but no issues so far. Sound quality is much improved over stock system. My only complaint is that it takes a minute to boot up.

Would you recommend it over a standard aftermarket system?

Time will tell. I can't say that I would recommend it over Alpine, Pioneer or Kenwood yet because I've only had it for a couple of months. All I can say is that I feel I got a great deal on it when comparing features to these more popular units and everything works to my satisfaction. If it holds up over time, I will be very pleased with it.

Why would it need to boot every time? With access to constant battery power it should simply go into quiescent standby - just like every other android device.

Sound like a design flaw - regardless, 1 minute to boot would be a dealbreaker for me.

I'd also be concerned with product support if you have issues ( or require firmware updates ). Have you had a chance to explore this?

Last week I had a Jensen VX7020 installed; is an Android system. Very pleased with it.
Good sound, Igo Pro Navigation, not very expensive.

I haven't had the best luck with Jensen. But I am going to look into it.

As far as firmware on the Android units, I have been doing some research and it appears they are rootable for custom roms.

I had heard stories about Jensen too. The reviews on Crutchfield are very good.
After a lot of research and talking to owners, I gave it a try.
