Angry Wiper arms

I have a 2006 F150. I ordered a new pair of wiper arms from my local dealer. After I installed them they did not look right. When I compared them to the originals which were only being replaced because they were discolored and well worn I noticed they were different. I returned to the parts department with the old wiper arm in hand and spoke with them of my problem. They checked the part number of the original and it sent them to the new ones which I had. They told me Ford redesigned the part and it was the only one available.

The problem I have is that with the new arms installed while in the off position they rest much higher on the windshield and I don't like the look.

Has anyone else experienced this and looking for any solutions.

Thanks.

i took the (key) little metal tab out and lowered the arms. Wiper still rotates even with snow.

Make sure. You don't have them on backwards. Mine were like that when I gotmy truck. Try to switch the passenger and drivers side
