Default Ac problem

My 2006 f150 5.4 stopped blowing cold air. It looks like the clutch is not moving. I checked the freon and its maxed out like on the gauge cant go any higher. What would cause this?

Blockage, being overcharged. BTW you have refrigerant not freon. Freon is a registered trademark name owned by Dupont.

Its definitely not overcharged. It has a small leak somewhere and I have to refill it once a year. It was working fine i went into the gas station started it back up anand wasnt cutting on so I Went to the parts store thinking it was too low and that is why the compressor wasnt kicking on but when i put the can with a meter on it it was showing maxed out.
how do I check for a blockage?

Fuses look good
compression is spinning just no clutch
On the high side port you fill. i can let refrigerant out. And the meter still doesnt change (i tried a different meter just in case. )
should I replace the relay?

NO, do not replace the relay because there's no basis to do that yet.

Since the clutch is not engaging, first check to see if it's getting power. To do that disconnect the clutch wire connector. Then test for ~12v with either a multimeter or a test light.

First test is to jump the cycling pressure switch
Have gauges on it and watch gauges while jumping the switch
Those switches fail occasionally

Suggest connecting gauges to both high and low ports and report both pressures.
Of interest would be the pressure's with the A/C off for a long period (also estimate the outside temperature).
Also pressures shortly after the A/C is turned on (it may activate the compressor briefly).
Possible blockage causing an over pressure event- preventing operation.
I'm operating from an old memory!
A good design will include an over pressure switch too.
psi's please

Well it started making a noise and this is what it is doing now. Looks Should like all the bolts are out. I just replace the clutch or the entire compressor? What would be easier and if I do just a clutch to actually have to remove the entire compressor on a 4x4

Looks like your clutch bearing crapped out big time. I've never tried to just change out the clutch though, so can't help you with the exact procedure, but I'm pretty sure you could do it in place as there's just a 10mm bolt and a couple large snap rings that retain the pulley and the magnetic part. Obviously would have to remove the belt though, and maybe the fan shroud for better access.

Ford sells the clutch parts separately
You used to be able to get a bearing, a field coil, and a hub
It looks like the hub on his is toast
You can probably buy a new compressor for less than the cost of clutch parts from Ford

it's 20 years old...replace the whole compressor, evacuate and recharge.
