Sorry about the luck. At least you got a new engine out of this, will be a new truck after it's all done. Now you have to keep it for the long haul, but it should be solid for a long time.

Agreed... just keep up on those oil changes and they'll fight over it when you're dead.

Yeah it's a 5.4 3v..
I changed everything but the AC compressor and alternator.
Ps pump
Water pump
HD flexplate
Flex plate bolts
Tourque converter nuts
Grounds
Starter
Idler pulleys
Cam and crank sensors
Short tube headers JBA w stainless studs

I've got over 7k supercharged miles on the new motor now with no issues, no tick and running great since the first fire up.

Took about 3 days with painting the valve covers and cleaning..
