the picture of the aluminum wheels looks cool too. There is hope for this truck yet.
Just before I call up a custom wheel store, (and we have em). The rear axle needs to be limited slip, it is not at present. It is a 10.2 will I be able to make this into a limited slip, or are parts for this diff rare too.
Mulestang,I kind of bought this truck by accident too, I was looking at everything else except the wheel lugs, just thought it had eight, never thought to count them.
The 10.25 axle is fairly common. It's been used since 1985 in a few different trucks, and still made now from what I can gather. Not all have 7 lugs, but that shouldn't affect the differential. Shouldn't be too much trouble to find a limited slip kit - someone may be able to recommend a good one. I'm afraid I don't know much beyond that, I haven't learned much about adding limited slip yet. No doubt someone else will be of more help in that area

Well I have never come across a 10.25 before, but this is my first truck so I guess that figures.
Had my share of big block Fords in the past, but never any sign of 10.25.
So very pleased to hear they are common in the truck world.
I think I will get the limited slip first, then go looking for the forged aluminum rims.
Thanks to everybody who helped me get to the end of this.
