Mobil says it is equivalent to 5W-20 and meets the OEM specs for Ford/Chrysler. I'm not worried about the oil protection it will provide, just wanted to know if it helps over the 5W-20 oil.

I am referring you to the master of oil.

I have met Bob The Oil Guy. This dude knows more about oil than anyone I've ever heard of. I have even helped him do some testing alongside a friend of mines dad,who is an oil analyst. They have all the answers.

Mine does the same MPG if I just drive around town. Going to work It will do 15+ with a steady throttle at 50 MPH. Hills will kill that though. 20 MPG on the highway.

i'd love to know what you're doing different. 06 w/ 72k miles on it, 4x4 w/ the 5.4L.
my mixed city/highway TOPS OUT at 14.5mpg. thats in 2WD, 45-70mph depending on traffic.
got a magnaflow (muffler only) and a K&N. dealer suggested going back to the stock intake per mileage.
what are you using for gas? (i notice we're in the same neck of the woods)
