Default 2007 supercab electrical issues

Hello to all, so I've recently run into some electrical issues with the truck and don't have the slightest clue. The problem I'm havin is my interior map lights, dome light and back light on cab above box all stay on long after all the doors are closed, the vehicle is turned off and locked. Usually there is a few second delay before the lights turn off. For what ever reason they are staying on. Everything else works electrical wise. Any suggestions? Tired of disconnecting and reconnecting my battery every time I drive.

Thanks!

it's how the vehicle is designed if you have the autolamps and use it (auto headlights). When the headlights have been on, the interior lights and radio will stay on for roughly 10 minutes after the key is turned off or until a door is open. At that point, the radio turns off and the interior lights will stay on for 10-20 seconds.

page 86 in the owner's manual:
"The autolamp system also keeps the lights on for approximately 20 seconds after the ignition switch is turned off." If you have the message system, you can also find instructions on how to select a delay of 0-180 seconds.

Yes I understand that, the problem is the interior lights are not turning off after that predetermined time. As long as the batter is connected they are staying on.

if you can determine which door is the problem, spray the latch assembly with some WD-40 and work the latch by opening and closing the door. The light switch is part of the latch. Dirt and other junk can gum it up. Previous experience has found cleaning the latch normally will clear it up.

The dimmer dial/wheel may be in the fully on position. It is the dial that is to the right of the headlamp switch. It adjusts brightness of the lights for the gauge clusters and other buttons. When it is fully on, it will click into position, all the interior lights and third brake light will stay on.

My suggestion is not the problem, unless lights are on when you are driving also.

No my lights constantly stay on, even while driving. I'm thinking it's some sort of door a jar switch. I tried spraying the latch assembly on both doors and that solved nothing as well.
