Default 2007 leveling kit install problems

I am in the process of installing a 3 inch leveling kit and ran into a problem. I have the kit in and the strut reassembled but when I place a jack under the control arm it is lifting the entire truck rather than compressing the shock and lifting the control arm to re attach the ball joint and sway bar. Any help is greatly appreciated

I had to use ratchet straps between the UCA/LCA on my buddies '06 with a 2.5" kit. A pry bar helps as well

Mine was a 2.5" as well like Zimmer so might be a little easier than a 3". But I remember jacking, hammering, prying. You gotta give it a good beat down sometimes. Keep the top 3 nuts loose so you can wiggle the whole strut around. Maybe just put one nut on loose to hold it up. Then jack slowly, while beating the strut into place.

I was able to do it by myself, but if you don't have another helper, you might want to look into that.

I have the strut bolted in but it seems like the shock doesn't want to compress at all. Any ideas?

Try the ratchet strap and pry bar. Another set of hands is necessary

i couldn't separate the ball joint/UCA from the knuckle, I ended up removing the LCA and then reattaching it after the level was in...then directly to an alignment. You might try that, because the spring and shock are impossible to compress...for me anyway.
