Default 2 questions....

1. I was driving from ca to tx last week and suddendly i wasn't able to lower my passenger window from the drivers side. I can raise and lower my passenger window using the passenger doors control and can put it up with my drivers side control but not down. When i press the down button on the drivers it seems almost as if it wants to go down but it then stops, no problems putting it up or down from the passengers side though. Any suggestions?

2. Does anyone know of any junkyards in the dallas area that have our trucks?

Thanks everyone for the help!!!

The common issue is the switch contacts wearing out / burning out, getting dirty etc. Check this out I just did this fix after my driver's side stopped working and it's good as new now.

Very easy to take apart.

I had the same problem but inside the switch part is a plunger and springs. The plunger part was worn away at a weird angle. I swapped the plunger with another one from a down side on one of the rear windows

Going to try this w/my drivers side
Already replaced guts/track/motor everything about 2 years ago
Now window doesn't seem to want to go up

For those that do not know...there is a little tab to press to pull the wiring connection off the switches

OK, cleaned them up...they were dirty. I was hoping this would fix it
Still no dice

Window will go down....just hear a click when I try to put it up
Have to manually push it up
In the past 2 years I did replace the track/motor everything that was connected to the track

So I'm not sure what else it may be

Ideas ?

Pics of the dirt on my switches, plus contacts
Switch covers & dust covers kept the dirt out from inside the switch area
Cleaned up the contact area

I need to look into that as well since my rear passenger window can't roll up or down by the passenger. Only I can do it from the driver's switch (and yes the locks are off) haha

As far as Dallas tink yards go, i was was looking for one too but there aren't any. I searched craigslist and found a few ads for parts but they all looked like they were rolled so it wouldn't do you much good.

I'm also here in Dallas from California (San Diego) but I flew this time

I cleaned the contacts on the drivers switch and it fixed the issue. So I went ahead and cleaned all the switch on my truck and they were all fixed except for one of them. One of them ended up turning out bad, so I went ahead and ordered a new one from eBay for $10.

As far as for the junkyards, I have heard there is one in Dallas if not fort worth but I cant seem to find any pull-a-part type yard just places where you tell the fat dude up front what you want.

But best of luck and hopefully that resolves your issue.
