Default 09-12 mirrors

I've searhed thru all the threads and can't really find an answer. I've got an 06 XLT and I would like to replace my factory mirrors with the 09-12 mirrors. I like the blind spot mirror that's built in. Oh, I could get those stick on ones but they look tacky. Is it possible the new style would fit?

The new style will fit but wiring is not a guarantee. I believe 07 and 08 MAY be the same but don't hold me to that. Tasca has a guide to the wiring on one of their tow mirror threads in the vendor showcase IIRC. I believe member "dixie_boysles" has 09+ mirrors on his 04-08. Also, the convex mirror is only on 11+ mirrors. Hope this helps.

I know the 07's fit the the 04-06 trucks because I have a set on my truck (which is an 05). I would look at a set off the new 13 models. The mirrors are just like the newer superduty's and the power fold option is really nice.

The work to put a pair of 13 power fold and telescope tow mirrors is probably more work and money than it's worth. Supposedly it's a whole different harness or some such deal. If someone with a 13 were willing to take their door off we could find out for sure. The mirrors themselves will be ridiculously expensive.

I switched out my mirrors on my 07 lariat to ones off a 2010 and they fit 100% perfect no modification required just bolted up. I know for a fact they are the same as far as fitment right from 04 to now. The only thing I can't promise is that the wiring didn't change. For 07 - 2010 it didn't but that's all I can confirm.

Did your new mirrors have heat and auto dim?
