Default Diagnosis

I'm having the same issue, I've changed my fuel filter, cleaned my air filter, and next I'm going to clean my MAF.

Mine only started hesitating up around 3500 or 4000 rpm, then over that the engine light sometimes flashes. That is while passing or trying to accelerate to get on the freeway.
BUT, since I changed my fuel filter and cleaned my air filter, oh I found a hole in my cat back exh. too, the hanger broke free from the pipe itself and created a hole got that fixed today too. It has been marginally better, so, I'm going to clean the MAF sensor tomorrow.

does your do it all the time or only under rapid acceleration? mine is only under rapid acceleration, changed the plug on the cylinder it threw a code on a misfire and is still doing it. checked the coil packs and they were fine.

Hey noticed your post .. Look into replacing your crank sensor.. If bad causes rough idle,misfire/backfire,rough or no start..

When a CEL blinks it means you have a missfire. Go get the code read.

Default Code read

When I had that problem I took it to Advance Auto, they tried to read the code and all they found was random misfire. (couldn't pinpoint exactly)
So I started with the cheap stuff, fuel filter etc. Now she runs just fine! My air and fuel filter was nasty BTW!
