Default 06 4.6 Codes

Recently picked this truck up from a private owner , the check engine light was on , he told me it just needed re-set ?

I stopped by O'Rielly and had them check the codes
2006 4.6 auto 4X4

3 - P0053 Heated O2 Bank 1 Sen 1
2- P0132 O2 Bank 1 Sen 1
1- P0174 O2 Bank 2 Too lean
3- P2195 O2 Bank 1 Stuck Rich

Seems obvious it's an O2 sensor , they said it was the upstream , drivers side before the cat ?

They had a Bosch O2 sensor in stock but I didn't pick it up yet , is that they way to go or should I get a Ford OEM sensor ? Any tips or pitfalls to be aware of ? How do I re-set the check engine light ?

Bosch makes good sensors... re-set CEL by disconnecting the battery neg for a few and re-connect.

Follow up , I ended up going to a local muffler shop to have them change out the sensor , they had to heat it red hot 3 or 4 times to get it to break loose , just beware these can be a real PIA to break loose.

Yes it corrected the code's however it still seemed to run slightly rough , especially at idle , wasn't too long that I got a different code P0308 #8 cylinder misfire. I bought a coil and was going to replace it when but I blew out the plug well with compressed air and got what seemed to be coolant sprayed out. After researching the possible causes it looked as though an intake gasket leak would be the likely issue.

Not really having the time for an involved repair like that I finally dropped it off at a shop , they claimed it was actually just condensation and it was common. They found carbon tracking on the #8 plug /coil boot and replaced them both and said the new coil I had was not needed , code is gone and it's running smooth now.

I'm planing to do a plug job on it along with new coil boots since I would like all 8 to be at the same mileage ,but I'm some what confused on the plugs I should use ? The shop used a Motorcraft SP-493 , I thought the general consensus was to use the Motorcraft SP-546 , these are 2 vary different plugs , any guidance would be appreciated.

The consensus is to use SP-546 if you have a 5.4L. I'm not sure if the 4.6L uses the same plugs as a 5.4L
