Default 04-08 to 09-present front end conversion?

I have been looking on the forum and can't find anything about this. Anyone converted their 04-08 f150 front clip (fenders, hood, bumper, grill, headlights) to the new 09-present style? From looking at these model years they look to have the same cab and didn't know if the new parts would bolt on with little modifications. I can't be the only person who has thought of this. Thanks

A guy who did the front end conversion said everything bolts up. You will need all the new brackets and a custom bracket will have to be made for the headlights.

You have to swap the bed too because the wheel arches are different on the 09+ model..

The front end conversion is simple, a lot easier than you think. You simply sell your existing 04-08 and pick up the 09+ and not only will you get a different front end but you'll also get a different interior and rear end for free.

Like a mechanic once told me...

Step #1: remove radiator cap
Step #2: replace vehicle
Step #3: install radiator cap

Thanks for the serious replies. To everyone else, I have the flareside bed and prefer that bed and tail lights over the new style. Also, it is a lot cheaper to replace the fenders, hood, grill, headlights, and bumper then buying a new truck. Especially when you can do all the labor yourself. I do know a thing or two. Thanks

Couldn't agree more. I would rather spend 2-3k converting the front end then getting in a 30-40k auto loan. The fenders will be different but I started a thread on another site and someone suggested fender flares (bushwacker for example). That would make both them even out.

I think the 04 - 08 wheel arches look better then the 09+. Fender flares would work perfect to hide the beds wheel arch. But you may have to lift the truck to make a big flare look good.

The 09-current do have different wheel arches but I have the flareside which looks different then both the standard bed on either 04-08 and 09-current. I will get something together in photoshop and post it as my concept. See what you guys think.
