Yup, even have about 15 post-it flags labeled for the different stuff I know I'll want to find again.

Years ago I'd asked the salesman for the manual to look at BEFORE I bought the vehicle (this was before the days of the internet). Think I was the first with that request, but they finally came across with one. You'd be amazed what they'd tell you to get you to buy a vehicle that just wasn't true!!

I am going to make CD on the F-150 owners manual and sell it on this site for the people who don't feel like they need to read their manuals. I may even tape it with back ground music to keep them tuned in. I figure $25 bucks a pop and then they can just pop it into their stereo's and listen while they drive. I'll make a mint on this Forum alone.

99% of vehichle owners with automatics will not need to know how to shift it if the battery is dead, they will just call a tow truck or triple A! The people that know about it need to know or WANT to know about their vehichle!

Bottom line, go read the manual! lol
I think Johnwill was injecting a little sarcasm As always... RTFM!!

i totally agre with this. But with 1 disclaimer, it is the job of your sales person to go through most important "things to know" about any vehicle you buy. Especially the road side emegencies you may encounter, how to use 4 x 4, how to access spare tire etc. Most sales staff however probably wouldn't have known what the plastic tab was.

Also, i am willing to bet 3/4's of people do not read an owners manual for anything they buy!

Be honest you know i'm right!

I bought a Porsche a few years ago...I drove it around for 2 days, then brought it back to the dealer and to the sales guy. He asked..whats wrong? I told him it doesnt work!! He was like...what? I told him...you said that when I'm driving this car girls will be jumping out of their pants! I looked in the manual, and didnt see this option
