That is certainly not a typical occurrence, I wonder what caused the wire to break. Glad you're up and running again.

Yeah definitely not! Probably a combination of harsh Wisconsin winters and Chicago's potholes the size of Volkswagen's!

Thanks again for the help guys!

That's one for all of us to remember. Wonder if it was a body/frame/electrical ground connection area ?

That's what I was thinking. Although I had power to everything except the starting circuit.

Think there are more than one wire at that point contacting the frame. Ford has used a contact point up there for many years.

my raptor just started doing the same thing today. I've been freaking out. About how much did the broken wire cost to fix?

I think they said 2 hours from diagnosis to finding the broken wire. That was a few years ago but all in all I think it was around $210. Haven't had any problems since though.

Thanks so much, I'm hoping it's a simple fix for mine. Thank you for such a fast response

Default F150 2010 same problem crazy dash board lights on off at random.

I HAD EVERTHING REPLACE FUSE PANEL , COMPUTER BRAIN SOFTWARE UPDATED, STILL SAME PROBLEM. I DID NOTICE THAT IF I SLAM THE TRUCK DOOR WHEN IT HAPPENS IT WILL GO AWAY. ONLY TO RETURN AGAIN AT SOME RANDOM TIME. SOMETIMES THE SLAMING OF THE DOOR WORKS SOMETIMES IT DOESNT SPENT OVER 2000 BUCKS SO FAR. I THINK ITS THE ISTRUMENT CLUSTER BUT THAT GROUNDING WIRE SOUNDS LIKE SOMTHING I CAN TELL ME mechanic
