Default Won't start

I have a 2011 xlt 3.7 v6. I went driving earlier and the "check brake system" message appeared but turned off after a few seconds. I kept driving and the truck stalled, lighting up the dash lights. I pulled into a parking lot and it did restart after a min, but now when I try to start the truck the battery light comes on right away and within a few seconds the service advance Trac light comes on also and the truck won't start at all. Tried disconnecting the battery but no luck

Any ideas? I know it's Christmas eve but I need to get the truck running so I can get home

Sounds like a loose connection somewhere. Check all wires leading from the battery. Check fuses as well.

I pulled all the ones under the hood and in the passenger kick panel and they all looked good. Last night I was driving through a snow storm but everything was fine. This morning I started the truck and the "check brake system" message didn't come on until I was almost at my destination.

I did hook up a "3rd brake light flasher" and never had these symptoms before that, so I figured that might have been the problem. I removed that but the problem persists.

So I went for a drive, got not even a mile from my in-laws and that's when the truck stalled, setting off the advancetrac, low oil pressure light and battery light. (I know those come on if the truck stalls).

I'm wondering if something possible shorted out? I don't see how though since I soldered and used heatshrink on the 3rd brake light flasher. All my brake lights work normally, so that rules out that problem.

Check your brake fluid level in the master cylinder U may need an ounce or 2 but you surely messed up the body module when you soldered the flasher unit.

Thanks. Fluid is fine. I had the battery disconnected when I hooked up the flasher. I know many other people with '09-14 f150's that have the same one hooked up. How do I go about fixing the BCM?

read your body codes write them down and reset , then dribble a little brake fluid into the master cylinder that message always comes on if you are slightly low especially if you have never added. *80,000 + miles is a sure time for brake fluid/ brake needs maintenance light and of course check your inner brake pads for wear.

Not sure how/where to read them or reset the body codes. Do you have a link or instructions? Truck has 221,xxx miles and I just put new pads/rotors on 3 weeks ago then took it in for the brake fluid flush, so I know those are good.

It don't take much of a voltage loss to make all kind of electrical gremlins appear. I'd begin by taking the battery to a local auto parts store for testing.

I thought of that already. I did get a new 850cca battery a few months ago. I have a Kenwood head unit that displays the gauges and before the truck stalled it was reading 14.2v, and it displays 11.6v when I tried starting it. I have power to everything (brake lights, headlights, stereo, dash cam, etc) so I wouldn't think its a battery issue. Just not sure why the "check brake system" warning would come on, ding 3 times and then go off. It just started acting this spastic today and never had these problems before.
