Default wipers activate on their own

Hello all, Don't know if anyone else has had a similar problem. last week while driving through a heavy down pour, ended up hitting a good size puddle, where it completely obscured my windshield for a moment. from that point on, my wipers come on by themselves every few secs. took the fuse out and turn key on to hopefully reset it. but that didn't work. anyone have any ideas what might be the cause of this? Thanks

Do you have rain-sensing wipers by chance? What year/make/model of vehicle are you reporting this on?

This is a fairly common problem. You need a new wiper control arm assembly.. the arm.
Easy fix.
Please get your Year, make and model of your truck in the signature line.

do you mean the multi-function stalk, turn signal lever, on the left side of the steering column?

Probably the multi function switch. Replaced one on my 2013 not long ago. Straight forward swap just make sure you get the correct one.

My Dad had a 1996 Ranger that had the same problem and it's still going on, c'mon Ford you can do better. But credit to Ford that the Ranger is still running and driving but it's looking all of it's 27 years.
