I have had no problems even after leveling and adding 33s. Infact it shifts smoother between 1-2 with the bigger tires. I love my 6 speed tanny even though others do not. I came from the big clunky 4 Spd in my 05 so I love it.

I agree 100%; although I would offer that most have no issues with the 6-speed A/T and the 'others' are very few and [some] of those few, do not even own the truck, IMO.

I, too, came from a 4 spd in my '04 F-250 and I do not miss it. I have an unmodified '09 and it really amazes me how well the 5.4 and the 6 spd perform together! I take care of my truck and keep up on all maint etc, but I do not baby it and it definately hauls-***!!

BTW, my '04 A/T had a complete failure at about 8,000 miles. One of the electronic sensors on the bottom of the internals, just inside the pan, failed and caused oil pressure to drop and I lost the front clutch pack. They rebuilt it under the warranty at the dealer and it ran fine until I traded in on my new '09; but I will tell you it is so nice to have that 6th speed on the freeway.

No problems here, 8900 miles, smooth as silk. My 94' was rough as hell, constant problems from day one.

I had some problems when the truck was new... 1-2 shift was rough. I got 1400 KM on it now and it shifts very well now. The darn thing does learn I guess....

I get the feeling that some of the people in this thread who don't have tranny issues are, for some reason, offended by those of us that come here to describe our tranny problem(s) and voice our opinion.
We can't really know how many of f150 6 speed owners have these problems.
Most of these owners don't frequent forums or even know of these forums. So in defense of people that say it's a wide spread problem, at least give them the credit that it's the most common and most noticeable problem(and most expensive if it comes to that). It has more complaints than a high mount stop lamp leak, roof leak, interior noise, suspension noise, sync malfunction yada yada yada.
If you could drive my truck for a day(anyone near albuquerque?), you'd be one the people complaining as well. My truck is nowhere close to smooth. So rough, in fact, you'd wonder as well why there isn't a fix yet.
For the people in this thread acknowledging the real tranny problems, thank you. It really sucks having to live with my 2010 until I trade it in for a 2012 or so. Until then, my truck will be going back for another reflash.

I do feel for the folks who are experiencing these hard shifting problems as in Blue Country's post above.
