Default Wheel Offset Question

I am looking for wheels and tires on a 2011 FX4 Screw, and wanted to know what configurations work with the least amount of rubbing. I am looking at Trail Grapplers 305/55/20 with 20x9 XD monsters with -12 offset. Also, I have a 2'' Readylift on the front.

Check the tire fitment sticky... It's lots of reading, but you get to hear of/see lots of feedback....

I set aside 3 hours one day and had a notepad to note everyone's experience with the set-up I was looking for...

Just my $.02......

I'm going thru the same process as we speak.
I dont think the -12 offset is gonna work with that tire size. Look for something closer to +18, with the backspace somewhere between 5.50 and 6.25.
I,too,am looking at the XD series and adding 2.25" inches to the front and replacing the stock rear blocks with 3". I'm finding the 9" wheel very hard to find in +18.

I'd like to see a picture with -6mm off set.

Here is what 18x9's look like with a +35mm offset ( that's 6.38" backspacing) and 305/65/18 tires with 2'' level. No rubbing or any other issues with this size.

-12mm offset on a 20x9 wheel makes for a 4.5" backspace. These will stick out past the fender really far and will rub the back of the fender opening at steering lock, even with a 2" lift (ask me how I know).

I have the same wheel spec with 295/55/20 Trails and the tires rub the sheetmetal. I have new wheels en route with a 5.5" backspace and +14mm offset. This is still a relatively aggressive spec, but should allow enough tire clearance.
