Another vote for mounting Cree 3X3's in your bumper. Best mod I have made to my truck.

Those iJDMtoy's I am running did disappoint me on the lens falling off issue, but they've never flickered. The T-10 base they fit in is somewhat finicky with a few bulbs and I've had to adjust the leads on many different bulbs for both interior and exterior sockets, have you tried doing that yet?

Yeah they are super tight in the socket, the issue seems to be voltage regulation. Made to look good, but they just do not preform, something we find out fast, with use.

So with that being stated, I wonder what I can find that uses a tons of energy and you can see a flame burning from miles away, like my GTS HID's lol

i.e. better halgon / incandescent bulb

Let's run our engines rich and run a switch to a spark plug in the tail pipes.

The Diode Dynamics XP50 921 reverse light bulbs came in.

First impressions of the bulbs:
They look really nice.
They're almost 2" long... 1 15/16" to be exact.
Packaging is nice & professional.

I received a 10% discount that was given thru a PM on here, which saved $9.00.... but still have to pay $5.00 for shipping & "handling". (Discounts are not able to be combined).

(It was shipped first class mail in a padded envelope which only costs approx $2.60 to ship... so the difference is in the "handling" of the packaging, and the time/labor and services to ship it out)

Total shipped was: $86.00 to my mailbox.

I've got a busy week but I'll try to get a full review & comparison pics up in the next few days... if not, this upcoming weekend.

Interesting design... with the 4 billion options I was excepting this bulb, I must have made a mistake.

Looking forward to your review, good or bad, we will know once and for all. Thanks again for testing these out and providing your time to evaluate the worthiness.

I like this...what did you use to cut into the bumper? Not sure if I have the right tools to do this right.

Thanks & my overall curiosity just had me too much on this.
I will be fair & honest on this & will take pics both with my iPhone & also my digital camera.
Depending on how drastic & how noticeable the difference is depends on the camera & want to share a totally unbiased review & opinion.

I too, cut my bumper & installed recessed LED lights that look & perform excellent. Being a fan of lighting, these bulbs (& what Diode Dynamics have explained) have me scratching my shaved head enough that I really want to see.... & EXPECT a difference over a $25.00 set that's advertised at 800 lumen.
So I'm hoping to really see a difference.

Our garage distance that I can aim to is in a shared alley so it's pretty close and only a few feet from the door, and last night I went to a local school that's dark in a few areas and pretty much only looking at a brick wall & really not sure what will be fair to show the illumination.
(I'll try the garage first & see how it illuminates the Harley & the rest of the small mess!)

I did this with mine and used a drill to get a few holes lined up so I could fit a sawzall blade in. It worked pretty well, but if I do it again I will use a wheel cutter/grinder. I cut my holes too small at first. (hey you can always cut out more!) Sadly as I didn't have a hand held grinder it was difficult to cut off the 1/8" more space I needed.

One last thing, be sure to double check behind the area you are cutting so you have enough room to install the lights. I only thought of this moments before I started my first hole. Thankfully I was lucky and had already drawn it all to miss the supports.
