My FX2 doesn't have the 2 buttons in front so it's just an odd little tray.

 

To put stuff in it and clutter up your ride.

 

My little Allen wrench with the hole in the center for the security screws on my license plate lives there.

 

a tube of chap stick fits perfectly in there

 

So does a lighter

 

toothpick tray

 

Mine holds just enough change to annoy me when it rattles on bumpy roads

That's all I can think of for its use for now...

 

pennies. when you fill it up you can throw them in the trash can so as not to litter.

I am just curious why you would keep said tool readily accesable? do you remove your license plate frequently enough that you need to find it easily. I would be worried with it being so out in the open that it would also be easily lost
