This is my .01...not worth .02...lol. When I bought my truck it had the bad missfire,mirrors didnt fold not even pushing them and back slider didnt move, I got a extra 1k trade in to take as is but they offered to fix problems, I knew the misfire was plugs, the back window was froze shut, and the mirrors had screws in them so they wouldnt fold....still lost about why..lol. The only thing I didnt know how should work was the heated cooled seats and it wouldnt have been fixed anyways cuz I was dumb at that point..and it would of been to late as the deal would be done....My input is check everything and being a dealer make them fix everything....I saved a grand and thought heck yes....but trying to figure out my seat has eatin up half the savings. Im not upset just maybe this will help you in your decision, as maybe the camera could be a costly fix, so double check every thing and it does look like a nice truck. One other thing watch for I almost didnt catch it the internet price and lot price was different when we started dealing he wrote down the lot price which was 900-1000 higher.

Thanks for the input. I explained to the guy I was dealing with I'll offer 25,5 and here's why I'm guessing but have a good idea that camera at a dealer will cost upwards of 500$ if not more to fix, the cables my father in law can put on, he still seemed disinterested on taking my offer of 26k claiming they'd only make 400$ on the truck, I call BS. So we'll see if maybe now they'll reconsider. Thanks for reading and responding.

Unless your in a huge need for a truck, maybe let it sit longer and if it sells it sells...lol. Give the dealer your price and tell them to call when they are ready to sell but let them know that there are more trucks around and your looking at many other ones.....even if you arent...but if you are cool. A couple dealers was going to call me back on Monday as I looked on the weekend, well 3-4 Mondays came before they called and I have had mine a couple weeks, my 13 lariat with 125k loaded except for sunroof and nav was priced at 23-24k just for a reference and I got them down from there and extra on my trade.

Yeah I'm fine waiting this truck basically is the xavtly what I want but I'm not gonna be a sucker and I have no prob walking away or waiting. I've been in contact with another local dealer who went to auction today and he knows exactly what I want so I know there will be others if these guys are gonna take such a immovable stance on their price.

So I just got an alert email they dropped the price on this truck to 26,575 so they obviously are looking to move it and on car guru it says it's been listed for 93 days. I'll offer 26k but I still want 9500$ for my trade is this fair u think and they fix the backup camera or is there a red flag they've dropped the price so much in the three weeks since ive seen it and it's been available for longer than what I was told which was a month when I went to look at it.

If the truck is going to put you at the ragged edge of your budget, don't buy it. What if something goes wrong ?

There's a bold faced lie. They got the truck at auction for no more than $18k U.S. The service department and used car sales are where a dealer makes their real money.

I think that dealer is stupid not to just throw new support cables on the tailgate, before someone steps on it and breaks the other cable. Which in turn falls on the bumper and leaves a nice crease all the way across it.

I'm actually surprised they are broken or frayed. My Chevy's used to break the cables constantly. I've never had a ford cable break in these last 12 year's or from 1988 to 1992.

The red flag to me would be the dealer, not how the previous owner treated the truck. Up here, at my Canadian dealer, being 2-3 years old with low miles, that truck would not leave the lot without those items repaired. Isn't that why you purchase from a FORD dealer?
A few things I notice from the add;
*they list RV camera as an option, but it don't work.
*the broken cables are a safety issue
*What gear ratio? 3:55 or 3:73 (add lists both)
*Wheels, add says 17" but the pics show 18" (not a big deal, but)
* you mentioned that little latch for the top console is broken. Go check out the price for that. Don't be surprised that you may need to buy the whole top of the console.

Go get some real pricing on those repairs, and take that into consideration of your offer. If it don't feel right, you need the power to walk away. If these guys are not willing to make a deal, there will be another truck for sale tomorrow.
