Default Went shopping today

Well we went shopping today. I stopped by & test drove a 2013 Ram Big Horn. I was impressed! I then went & compared it to XLT ecoboost. I hate to say it but while I really liked the XLT the Ram was more truck for the buck. The Ram offered everything the XLT did plus nav, a bigger cab (crew vs scab) for the same price. I equate the hemi 8spd with the ecoboost in fuel economy & power. Then I looked at a left over 2012 Lariat ecoboost screw with: pkg 508a, the chrome pkg, offroad pkg, lariat plus pkg, sony nav, moonroof, 3.73 locker, 20" wheels, and bucket seats. Everything I could possible want except a spray in liner & tailgate step. It was marked 11K off of sticker with incentives included in that markdown. Still a few thousand more than I feel comfortable spending. The XLT & Ram I was looking at stickered for 2K more but then they still had incentives available on them to lower the price & I know there was more wiggle room to go also. Think I could get them to come down a few thousand more? I know they want to move the trucks they have 2 more just like it and the 14's will be coming out soon.

No the 8spds are not out yet but the info I have read says they expect an extra 2mpg across the board with it. They are taking orders for them now & are supposedly in production next week. They said same price as the 6spds. The performance was good with the 6spd & I have drove a 8spd pentastar 300 and it was nice. Unless I buy the 2012 I will have to order.

I'll have to look at one. Last 3 trucks were fords, but I am not only about one brand. They changed the Ram up quite a bit.Might be something to play with until I can order the Atlas or whatever comes out next.

I went in expecting not to like it, but I can't spend that kind of money with out cross shopping the competition. It will take me getting a 2012 lariet screw for 2013 xlt scab money for me to not seriously consider getting it.

Rams are basically cars with boxes.
