Problem with most LED bulbs is it might match in color, but the light output is garbage (Most of the time worse than stock halogens)
Diode Dynamics sells these XML2's w/cooling fans....they are getting great reviews on the Mustang sites for color match but yet providing GREAT output!

Roughly $120 a set....

It is funny how people trump around with LED like it's the newest best thing. In some applications it is absolute garbage. Like other posters have said.

I was wondering why manufactures have strayed from yellow fogs actually. Sorry to be off topic.

Just a down side to led lights ( from experience) is they do not melt ice off you you live in a winter climate. I had truck lites in my jeep and it was a small problem a few times. They just released a version with a heating element in the lens this year.

i like how all these people are like "yea get a set of leds and just drop them" as it seems to be ok to do, but if someone asks about hids in the same lights they are bashing the hell out of them. These leds im sorry they are horrible, they are blinding to on coming traffic. Even the new acura's, caddy's and other high end cars with led headlights, they are blinding to me when coming at me in my truck. Great they light up the road better since the housing was designed for leds, use less power, but wtf about the other people on the road.

There is nothing wrong with LEDs. My truck lites were awesome. They are still fairly new in the world of headlights so it's going to take some time to get the problems worked out.

And yes using a led bulb in a hid housing is not the answer. The housings were designed for hids. And there is nothing wrong with them either.

LEDs will eventually replace hid lights, not quite yet but I would say in the next 5-10 years. (My guesstimated opinion)

Same thing at the airport....we switched to LED for taxiway/runway lights and it does save some money in power throughout the year. But in Winter time the snow around the lights doesn't get melted off causing issues.

I'm usually lambasted whenever I tout my preferences to HIDs and other higher quality lights such as PIAAs.

As for yellow fogs...you can still get them and they are much better than clear or white fogs.

Got the piaa in today and very disappointed, they don't match oem at all, they are closer to a halogen bulbs color. I'm thinking maybe the same bulb at 5000k would be closer.

They are however very bright compared to oem fogs.

I've been looking for fogs to match the HID's as well. Any pics of the Hoen bulbs mentioned? I want to see the comparison.

And thanks Rnlcomp for displaying the PIAA photo comparison.

Hopefully the Hoen bulbs will be a closer match? Pics please???
