Default Vacuum Pump

Getting ready to order new vacuum pump. Having the hard brake pedal problem. Where is it located? I think it’s under drivers headlight.

It helps if you completely identify what you're working on....

Are you talking about the one behind the master cylinder? Did you just have some brake work done? Could be pads incorrectly installed or even blocked caliper hoses. What lead you to a new vac pump?

In case you didn't get around to this yet, I just removed my vacuum pump. Easy to remove. There is a rubber shroud by the driver's headlight. peel that back and then remove 3 screws holding the headlight in place, one on the side and two on the top. Then pull the headlight straight forward. I just moved the headlight assembly in front of the grill and left the bulbs installed. The pump is directly behind and below. To remove it, there are two bolts below the black cradle it sits in. To access the nuts for those bolts you will need to get inside the drivers front wheel well. No need to remove the tire to access.

Spiky provided the following link for a new pump. I was able to refurb mine so haven't bought it yet. Not cheap.
