I'm not going to get into a big internet debate on this issue. Believe what you want

My edge will pay for itself in one more year. I went from 9mpg city to 11 with on change in driving habits. I did a test run earlier to and from work. Level 0 (stock) showed 14.0 mpg and level 2 showed 15.3 mpg, also no change in how I drove. I can get 17mpg in the summer if I drive right, but usually average 15 hwy.

I think a tuner is worth it 100%

First of all the Corvette probably weighs about half of what the F150 weighs. There is less Wind drag, and the gearing is lower as well. There are numerous reasons why the Vette gets better milage.

Yeah, but back to the motors, he was saying that an increase in power results in lower mpg.

Everyone I talk to gets better mileage on their truck.

The guy mentioned he used a programmer to get more performance, and even after that he gets 11L/100KM Highway. I haven't done any research but maybe someone can shed some light on this topic.

I don't want to run out and buy one, maybe someone in the Toronto area can tune my truck up for me or know of a place to get it done.

THX.

I took my 010 Screw/5.4 to Myrtle beach and for the month that I was down there including the ride down and return I averaged 12.3 L /100km or 19.1 miles per US gallon calculated, not the phony digital read out in the dash read out.
I keep a very light foot on the loud pedal.

Thats awesome, thankyou for your response. I live in pickering actually, so thats perfect. I'm going to give him a call this week and see whats good.

Yeah, i have never EVER seen anything less than 14L/100KM on my dash. Even after driving as light as possible. Even on a long highway trip.

I put some sandbags in my truck for the winter driving, but it raped my gas tank and I was only getting about 500Km to a tank, compared to 800 before.
So I took them out, since it doesnt snow enough really to make it worth while.

Is your truck completely stock or are you using any aftermarket gizmos - programmer etc?
