As mentioned before, if the harness is there, they are already tied together from factory

The best way to be sure is to check. On my 2013 STX super cab there are two plugs, one for the power motor and one for the defrost. I installed heated mirrors and my dealer installed the accessory rear defrost/power slide window. I don't think the accessory version uses the same plug for the power motor (as they ran a separate harness and switch) but it does use/plug into the harness for the defrost.

DL3Z-19980-F is the climate control you'll need if you have both heated mirrors and rear defrost and DL3Z-19980-E w/o rear defrost.

This is a good informative thread. I too have a 14 STX, and want to have at least the turn signals and puddle lamps, the heated option would be a bonus. Sounds like it should just be a straight replacement for me...correct?

Not sure about puddle lamps as my mirrors don't have them, but everything else was direct replacement on my 2014 STX

Yea according to MuseKmkr Quote: "The best way to be sure is to check. On my 2013 STX super cab there are two plugs, one for the power motor and one for the defrost. On the climate control take notice of the price quoted if the $50. core charge is include or no - Exp.Control is $100. but after you order they would contact you to get an additional $50. or is it $150 and when you return the old control they send you back the $50. core charge. Good Luck enjoy your new Mirrors Thanks again MuseKmkr for clearing that up!!! I will soon pull the back seats to see if the harness I need is there, looks like 8 bolts and lift up to release the seats**** __________________

No offence, but there's way too much over thinking here. This is one of the easiest stx upgrades you can do. I was one of the first to prove it works a few years ago.

In all honesty, the only difference between all the climate controls, is the picture on the button. My climate control has a pic of the back glass on it,(if you bothered to read my how to thread it's in there) yet it works for the mirrors. There are many other members whose truck came with rear defrost, then they added mirrors and the heat worked, and vice versa.

I read the whole thing, sounds pretty easy, so thanks. Just want to hear more from people who have a 14 and have done it. Im currently looking or some mirrors, and they are hard to come by (I don't want the tow style)

Is this what you are looking for? I know that these are for up to 2013 but you can call and see if they have them for your 2014. I just happened to have this saved in my favorites;
