Let me know how you make out, please; Currently have stock: No turn or reflector. Would like to switch mine out definitely for the turn signal/puddle light but would like to have the heated mirror and any power options that are readily available for towing the RV.

The power fold/extend features won't work without additional wiring.

As far as the other stuff, just bolt them on and plug them in and you will get turn signals, puddle lamps, and power. To get heat you need to switch out climate controls to one with defrost.

You have me confused: Mine is an STX and the controller that you are talking about has the defrost button in the top left hand corner and is for the front window area defrost, the next row of buttons next to it, is blank: This is what I have, just exctly like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-OEM-CLIMATE-CONTROL-UNIT-2011-FORD-F-150-BL3Z-19980-AA-/360489833380?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item53eede53a4. Are you saying that this will work because it has defrost or it will not work?

No. The climate control in question has a separate button for rear defrost and your mirrors. STX's don't have that. So you need a new climate control that does. Read the thread link I started, a couple posts above. I explain all that in there

Evan more confused: I know that wiring is at the plug for the turn and puddle when you swap out mirrors as you say but "power"; Power for what? Am I correct in presuming for remote mirror adjustment?

MBullock

Thanks so much, that clears things up quite a bit. Will continue looking for the needed replacement as haven't seen on ebay or Tasca with that function. I can live without power fold and extend as don't tow RV but occasionally.

Sorry for confusion.

There are two types of tow mirrors, 2013 and everything else. The 2013 has power fold and power extend like the super dutys. To put them on an F150 that didn't have them you will need additional wiring.

Now as for the other tow mirrors, they will bolt right on and you will get turn signals, puddles lights, and power adjustment just by plugging them in.

Seems you have the defrost thing worked out. Tasca has them but they are expensive.

This is what I've come up with so far from Tasca:

AL3Z-19980-K:2010|Ford|F-150::Without Heated Rear Window / With Drivers Hand Set Sail Mirror / Drivers Sail/Man/Man T-Tow / With Driver Power Mirror / With Manual Air Conditioning NOTE: header says 19980-A but in description it says K Guessing this could be factory for STX

AL3Z-19980-L:2010|Ford|F-150::Without Heated Rear Window / With Drivers Power/Heated/Puddle/Manual T-Tow Mir / With Driver Electric/Heated Mirror / Manual Air Conditioning
2010|Ford|F-150::Without Heated Rear Window / With Drivers Power/Heated/Puddle/Manual T-Tow Mir / With Driver Electric/Heated Mirror / Manual Air Conditioning

AL3Z-19980-M:2010|Ford|F-150::With Heated Rear Window / With Manual Air Conditioning

AL3Z-19980-N:2010|Ford|F-150::Without Heated Rear Window / With Heated Seats / With Electronic Dual Zone Climate Control / Without Navigation
2010|Ford|F-150::Without Heated Rear Window / With Heated And Cooled Seats / With Electronic Dual Zone Climate Control / Without Navigation

AL3Z-19980-P:2010|Ford|F-150::With Heated Rear Window / With Heated And Cooled Seats / Electronic Dual Zone Climate Control / Without Navigation

AL3Z-19980-R: 2010|Ford|F-150::With Heated Rear Window / With Heated Seats / Electronic Dual Zone Climate Control / Without Navigation

AL3Z-19980-S:2010|Ford|F-150::Without Heated Rear Window / With Heated Seats / With Electronic Dual Zone Climate Control / Without Navigation

Could find no single zone with the additional defrost button just like the one you have. Can anybody shed some light on a possible ford Part #.
