Default Which type of automatic shifter do your prefer?

We seem to be into polls recently, so here is my question. Which type of shifter do you prefer on your automatic? Column or Console / floor shift or do you not care? I prefer the column shift for an automatic. If I drive an floor / console shift automatic I'm always trying to shift gears and going for the non existent clutch pedal. I guess that comes from driving mostly manuals for 8 years.

haha, i think we did one of these once and the floor shifter won out. I vote floor/console shifter!

Here is the one from a few months back. Let's see if the results are similar! https://www.f150forum.com/f38/floor-...g-truck-68463/

Floor shifter hands down. But u have to atleast get a fx4. I always wanted a fx4. I settled for a stx truck with 18 inch rims and 4 wheel drive. It almost looks like a fx4 beside the headlights. Then again a bench seat is even funner lol

At first I didn't like the console shifter. But it's comfy now. Although I'd rather have another seat instead

Lol, guess I don't always do well with the search box. Good idea to compare results. Looks like the floor shifter is in the lead already. For me It's bad enough that my truck is automatic and my company truck is manual. It took me a week or two to get where I didn't have constantly remind myself what I was driving. I just think if I had the floor shift I'd try to move it sideways every now and then.

Console. I think It looks much better and feels more "luxury/suv" like to me. But I have no need to seat 6 so that was never a concern

I currently have a column shifter and that extra space u get is nice, but I like the look of the console shifter better. I also like how deep the center console is. The center console on the jump seat is only about 5" deep and is in a weird shape, which results in not being able to put much in there.

I drive a Semi Truck for work, so column shifter is just way more comfortable and familiar for me. Plus, it makes for a great hand rest while driving
