Default trans temp

Hey guys. I gotta 2010 xlt scab with the 5.4 4x4 with max tow. I've noticed 3 times now the trans temp. Being near cold after it had already reached normal temp. Was wondering if this happens to anyone else. I have the trans Cooler and thought maybe there is a problem there, or maybe its normal. Does the cooler have a thermostat that could be getting stuck? Just wanted to see what yall think before I call the dealer.

Are you saying that your trans temp gauge comes up to temperature, then drops?
That should not be happening, and it does not on mine. If that is what is going on for you, you have may have either sending unit or gauge problems that need to be addressed....

The guage doesn't drop all the way to cold. It is a ways below normal though, enough to make me wonder. The needle stays steady too.

My 2009 xlt did about the same thing. took it to the dealer who told me there was a flash for the problem. after the
flash it was back to normal.

i don't have the max tow, but that shouldn't be happening. sounds like a sending unit or something simple. take it in and let the dealer repair it.
