Default TPMS interchangeable question?

Question is. My buddy has a 2012 f150 with 17" wheels and i have a 2011 fx4 f150. My new wheels will be here Fri and he wants to purchase my current wheels for his truck. I agreed to sell them to him but i need my tpms from them. He suggested instead of breaking my tires down to get my sensors out i could have the sensors from his 2012. Will this work?

Your good to go, the sensors are all the stem kind from 09 and up, you won't have to reprogram or anything, just swap wheels and your good.

U will have to retrain. The sensors have basically a serial code. Not a big deal most dealers if not all do it for free

Just relearn if you must, do not pull them out. I swap my tires around back and forth summer to winter and I'm yet to have to relearn my sets.

I didn't have to relearn my sensors on my new wheels. Just had to install them.
