This was in my 2011 FX4 EB with 3.73. I'm running the 5* 87 perf/tow.
Very hard for me to beleive.
I get that empty! (Barely)

If that is the case you must be getting close to 25 empty.

I'm super impressed with how the truck performed to include the engine braking and everyone seems to he shocked I got 15mpg the whole trip.
This is very encouraging as I am considering almost that same truck but it's a 2013 screw. My travel trailer is 5,600lbs dry but we don't use it more than 4 times a year.

I just pulled my steel open car trailer (~1100) and 98 cobra (~3500) with my 13 screw with the 5.0 and it pulled it just fine, I got around 14mpg with it but I wasn't on the highway the whole time. The real test will come in when I have a mark viii on the trailer and tow it to Wisconsin from Ohio... That car weighs in at about 4100 lbs...

No kidding. The mark viii's are beasts of cars. I also have a camper shell, not sure if that possibly helped a bit with the airflow. The mountains coming through Texas and tenn, va killed the mileage but still very happy with the 15 over all. I really want the 5* tune to see how it compares. Sounds like everyone is doing well towing with their F150's!

lol this one is really a beast... 530 rwhp. my boring mark viii is stock with the exception of being hub swapped and having cobra wheels and brakes on it, but its rusting pretty bad so it just sits in the corner of the garage. The cobra is a fun toy though...

I just grabbed my waders, it's getting deep in here. I get 16 empty at 75 mph 13 EB 3:55s. I pull a 7x12 flat front bike hauler and am lucky to get 10 mpg at 65, there is absolutely no way that you're getting 16.1 pulling that brick wall.

You're a coward hiding behind a computer keyboad. I don't appreciate the smart alec comment about the waders.
Because you don't get the mileage I stated then that makes me a liar? I don't give a damn If you believe it. I didn't post to impress you. I posted because people like you want everyone to believe that all EBs get bad fuel mileage running empty and pulling a trailer. I get 21mpg at 65, 20mpg at 70, 18mpg at 75and 23 at 50mph all empty. Those mpg figures are all + or - a few tenths. I know what I got pulling that trailer. I checked it manually after fillups and it was the same as the dash readout.

The dash readouts are actually really accurate. I checked with manual math the fist few thousand and it was always correct, now with 25k I don't bother anymore.

And to the gentleman who gets less than average mpg with his ecoboost, there may be something wrong with your truck to have such poor fuel economy. Mine has the 5.0 and I'm getting almost the same mileage as old man in his ecoboost. I average 17-17.5 mixed driving everyday, running Texas to the east coast and back twice at 75-80mph I averaged 19.5-19.6 both trips. Running 50-55 I'll get 21.7. You may consider an aftermarket tune to see if that helps improve your numbers, or try keeping your foot out of it, that ones hard to do!

I have noticed driving habits make a huge difference. I have a 2010 FX2 SCREW with 5.4 6 Speed and 3.55's. I get 22-23 mpg highway and 16-18 in town. My tach rarely hits 2000 in town. Only mod is an insynerator muffler, and I don't think that does much.

I also hand calculate my mileage, I'm sure the on board computers are close, but it's no match for a notepad and a calculator.

Calm down here... no reason to "call out" the guy because he thinks getting 16mpg while towing an enclosed trailer is a bit... hmmm... let say unusual.

Anyway, this is WAY WAY WAY better than what my current and previous EB are getting (2 different ones) while towing similar weight but maybe they are both broken...
