Default Tow mirrors

For the guys who have the manual fold tow mirrors, How do you guys like them? Im sure they are awesome on the road but i see them being a hassel in parking garages, drive thru, tight garages etc.

Im in the market for a new pair and wanted to hear some opinions. thanks

I have a 2012 with tow mirrors so it doesn't have power fold, it gets old folding the pass side every time I go to park it in the garage.

No issues with drive thru windows. I dont have any tight parking garages to worry about but when I go to tight parking lots where I cant park far away from everyone, I flold them in just to be safe. My truck is fairly tall so small & mid size vehicles will not be high enough to touch them but similar size trucks could hit them. You also have to remember to pull them in for auto car washes. I would not give up my tow mirrors for anything.

I love my tow mirrors. I just get out and fold them in when going through the carwash and some of the smaller parking spots. The pros definitely out way the cons.

I absolutely love my tow mirrors. I don't fit in parking garages around me anymore so that isn't a problem for me. The only time I actually make sure I fold them in is during the Houston Rodeo season because our parking lot gets busy and we are there every day, but I agree completely with bluedsteel that the Pros very heavily out weigh the Cons.

I love my tow mirrors. Such great visibility! No issues going through the drive thru, or car wash. If in doubt I just roll the window down and fold in the one mirror.

I'm really looking forward to upgrading to a power folding set of the tow mirrors!

Absolutely love mine. I'm in a rural area so no issues with parking garages or anything, drive-thrus are no problem and I can fit in car washes with them out (don't go through car washes much anyways). I got mine for $250 on craigslist and sold my stock ones for $250 so I broke even on the deal other than shipping.

Driving a vehicle without tow mirrors after driving mine is a much different experience than it used to be after getting used to all of the visibility.

My tow mirrors are the best upgrade I've done to my truck. I feel much safer switching lanes, and they're great backing up my trailer. The only time I fold them in is at the car wash, but I don't park in a garage either. I'll never own another truck without them.

I dislike my manual tow mirrors. I had regular mirrors on my truck broke my drivers side backing out of the garage. The pair of tow mirrors were the same price as just my drivers side so I ordered those. I can't stand that I have to fold in the drivers side every time I enter/exit my garage. I love the visibility out of them. If I had to do it over I would stick with my regular mirrors or buy the power fold tow mirrors.

I traded in my scab for a screw and it has the max tow package with the tow mirrors and I can tell you that I'll never go back to regular mirrors. The only thing I don't like is that they are not power so if you can get power mirrors I would go that route but if you can't I would still take the tow mirrors over regular mirrors any day.
