Do need to be aware of clearance issues at banks, car wash and the likes but great while towing. I had/have a problem with my driver side mirror. First time I folded it in the mirror popped off. Took it back to the dealer and they "fixed it" but ya still have to baby it in when folding it. Doesn't pop off as easily but still will. Once weather gets to a point where my fingers won't freeze off without gloves I'll look it over and fix it myself.

I pull a 28' camper, a dozen or so times a year or more with my old Yukon -- I have yet to tow with the new truck. I don't have the tow mirrors on the truck, but these hold my attention:

In my opinion, it's a worthy compromise to use only some of the time.

I couldn't afford the "power folding" ones and got a great deal on an "opened box" of the non ones.

They work. When I park at a busy parking lot, I fold them in just so no one walks into them.

Eventually I'll get the power folding/heated ones, for since I installed these, my rear defrost doesn't work.

I love mine and as others have said, pros outweigh cons!

On car washes or tight drive throughs I just pull the driver side in and it gives plenty of room to leave the passenger out.

I also went with mirrors from 1Aauto.com, they are a vendor here and Tony is a great guy to work with. They are an aftermarket mirror but they look the same as Fords and they plug right up.

Been running them for over a year with no problems.

I've been thinking of doing the same to mine also, but my stock mirrors are only power mirrors. No memory, heat, turn signal or puddle lamps in them. I really only care about the heated part if I were to get new tow mirrors. Has anyone done that? I've heard that if it didn't have the option before it wont have it after if you put it the new mirrors on (if the new mirrors have those options of course). Mine is a 2011 XLT 4x4..

Anyone have a pn or price for power fold/adjust/heated tow mirrors? I'd like to do tow mirrors as I miss then from my superduty but they'd have to be power fold.

I don't have the part numbers but contact tasca ford. There are a vendor on here and they offer 10% over cost for forum members. They are $750 per side plus you need the wording harness, plate/switch for inside the truck, and the skull caps.

There is a aftermarket company that is making a set of oem look alike tow mirror with these features. They won't have any solid info on them until spring Unforently.
