depends on the weight of the trailer, off the top I would say yes. you probably don't need a 10 ply tire. there are XL rated P metric tires and a LT load range C which is what I have run before.

Insufficient information for definitive reply, however...
Depending on loaded weight of TT and whether a WDH is utilized plus size of your OEM wheels/tires, there are intermediate options to LT E-load range tires. My own choice with then new truck was Toyo Open Country AT2 tires in OEM 18" size, however with a twist compared to other tire manufacturer offerings. Not P-metric but LT C-load range as shown from their catalog listing pasted below.
P275/65R18 BSW (P/N 352070 - 4 ply)
LT275/65R18C BSW (P/N 352500 - 6 ply)
LT275/65R18C OWL (P/N 352510 - 6 ply)
LT275/65R18E BSW (P/N 352480 - 10 ply)
LT275/65R18E OWL (P/N 352490 - 10 ply)
You can see 'em (P/N 352500) on mine in this related thread post.

I tow a 5500 lb travel trailer with my ecoboost, i replaced the stock Goodyear because they felt squishy when loaded even had psi up to 42. I was going to replace with lt tires but was convinced by tire shop to try the p rated Michelin LTX, that made a huge difference truck rode much better felt firmer I ride around with 38 psi all the time no need to adjust and ride isn't harsh at all.

^^^ Well then, my suggestion would apply to yours. These tires are a popular choice on this forum, however usually larger sizes in combo with lift than the catalog numbers I selected. My truck has only rolled 7.3k miles since new with just prox 6.8k miles on those Toyo tires, so I can't factually say how long useful life might be. Regardless, several members of local jeep club use them on weekly rocky AZ trail runs without failures known by me. I prefer GY MT/R with Kevlar sidewalls for my own jeep trail rig, although wouldn't consider same tire type for my truck...

No, because you'll max out your truck's GCWR long before you max out your tires. The only thing a LT tire will do for you is give a stiffer ride and lower fuel economy and less towing performance due to weight.
