Default Tire Size Re-Program?

What's the cheapest way to reprogram or recalibrate for larger tire sizes?

Hypertech makes a Speedometer Calibrator - Part #742501 that is around $229

Anything else?

My edge tuner had that option..plus more things to "liven up" the truck. Mine was an 04 model but I assume they still have that option.

I got the same Hypertech unit for my 13' F150 when they were on sale at American Muscle for $199.

Works as needed but took quite a bit of trial & error.

Sorry - not going to provide an answer here, just an interesting note to those considering something similar...I changed tire size from 265/70/17 to 275/65/18 and my speedo is now dead on. I know it's not a big change (approx. 2%), but it still would have bugged me to be off.
I did considerable testing along a flat stretch of highway at 100km/h and it's perfect..must have been off slightly from factory, or maybe the speedo was set to those size tires already as they are a common factory size.

You may want to go back and read the first few posts about the Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator...

Or some people might say "programmer" and "calibrator" are synonyms in this case.

Forscan, a Bluetooth or wifi OBDII dongle and a Windows laptop or tablet, total cost if you already have the pc, about $20. The software is free, see this link,... https://www.f150forum.com/f38/forsca...ations-349018/

I changed my tires from 275/65/18 to 315/70/17 and Everytime I hit a speed sign that runs your speed it's dead on. I don't have a programmer or hooked anything up to truck since changing 2 years ago. Been dead on ever sense.
