Sorry MYancey, I didn't reply to your first comment. Yes the doors are very flimsy, I'm afraid someone is gong to slam it too hard and the bow may not pop back out. I wonder if it is an intentional design other than weight savings. 20 oz of foam would have went a long way to cushion the flex in the doors.

Did the dealer look at your dent? Did they opn up the door to see if something was loose? was it there when new?

Having a dealer do my repair had its risk, but they were obligated, it was Fords fault entirely. The attempted dent repair proved they could not do it, not this body shop technician anyway, as well as proving they can't match the paint and also failed on the proper finish of the clear coat. So I think I stand on good ground for receiving a new factory painted door.

And my Lariat is my Farrie/Rolls/Bentley. If I dent it then My Bad, I will try to forget it and heal as soon as I can......You dent it, I will remember you every time I see the dent, and go for the jugler every time I see you. (in jest w/some truth)

Wait till it's made out of aluminum. But it'll get better mileage.

How are you going to get a "factory painted door?" There's no such thing. No manufacturer pre paints sheet metal. Also, a new door? For a minor out dent? This forum is funny sometimes

Yes the place in the door was there the first day I took her home. I did order this just for me. About that new door for your truck, Ford don't sale preparing nothing these days. I know you can get painted door handles assy from ford because I ordered some. I can't remember what color was your truck? My truck don't really have a dent more ofsomething from the inside pushing out because you can seem to move it in some

Not only "these days." But never actually.

OP your problem sounds like what others have said. And excessive amount of the vibration foam they put on the door braces. You've never mentioned the passenger side. So i assume that doesn't have the same issue? Have you taken it in? When you do/did ask them to see if they can cut some of the foam away. That may alleviate the pressure pushing out on the skin. I'd love to see pics of this if you can.

Hi everyone,

If you're having an issue with your door panels, get in touch with me via PM so I can check out some options to help. To get the ball rolling, I'll need your VIN, dealer, mileage, daytime phone number, and full name.

Crystal

Mr. Yancey,
I treat my F150 like it's a Ford GT, and I understand exactly where you are coming from. I will keep you in my prayers - firstly that your cancer condition improves, and second, that a very good collision tech makes that door like new. You deserve it my friend. Let us know how you and the truck are doing. So long for now.

"what color was your truck?"
Green Gem, they are having a hard time matching it. turning out flat.

I'd would say have them open up the door and investigate......... that is a week ago I would have said that, now......not so sure.

Prayers lifted for your healing. I know of several responding well to current treatments.
