same here. That flex had me puzzled for a while.

So has anyone done this with the tailgate step? Does the step get in the way of mounting the actuator? I am considering doing this but want to be sure before I go ahead and take the tailgate apart.

Did mine a couple weeks ago and no problem with the tailgate step, easy peasy.

Good luck.

I have the '13 Scab as well. I found them in the passenger side. Did you try there?

Like Ian said, the gray/brown is one. I couldn't get the purple/white to work but I can't remember what the other wire was (I think it was the light blue/green). I do know that I tried many wires to unlock on the second push of the button but never did find the right combination. If you figure that out, please let us know.

With a backup camera in the tailgate they get real expensive. I added a Gate Keeper to slow a thief down. Means they have to bring one more tool and spend a few minutes taking it off...

I also added the Light Keeper...need a very specific tool to remove
