I bought a brand new set of FX4 tail lights on amazon last year from a Ford dealer for $125 shipped.

That's exactly what I thought, go with the FX4 tails and swap the OE bulbs for LED's. Should I also replace the other two bulbs with LED's or just make sense to do the reverse light bulbs?

Guys, I decided on the OEM FX4/Harley/Raptor Tail lights!! Will post pics when I get them and put them on. Also ordered new LED reverse lights, to replace while I am at it. Thanks for your opinions and ideas.

The Fx tails on my truck many moons ago.

I liked them much better than the chrome ones the truck came with but still like the Recons better. I still have the FX tails in like new condition if/when either of the Recons fail.

I only swapped the reverse bulbs for LEDs because the stock reverse bulbs are pitiful. LEDs will definitely help you back up at night (especially with tint). There's a big thread on here about reverse bulbs, but I just saw your recent post saying you already got some.

Didn't see a reason to swap the other bulbs - they do their job and are bright enough. If/when they die maybe I'll switch to LED, but I didn't see it as being necessary when I installed them.

Thanks for your reply! Yes, I just decided on replacing the reverse bulbs, and ordered a set of Phillips LED's yesterday. Excited about the change it will make over the stock bulbs.

Default My spyders

Here are mine as I had the Fx tails like Rnlcomp too. i went with the red smoked ones. I had a set of clear matte black that got a little condensation in one, so i sent them back and then ordered some Anzo eagle eyes and the reverse bulbs would not fit in either one of those, so I got the Rosso red spyders, which I really like and installed a set of led reverse bulbs. My oem tails developed some condensation on the same side so i believe it came from the reverse bulb socket so I put a little silicone on each gasket surface area and all is good so far. i have since added the red and black appearance emblems too. I also have the spyder HIDs and the LED fogs from a thread here.

Hey guys....quick update on my MOD. I listened to your feedback on this thread and considered many options. I decided to pull the trigger on brand new FX4/Harley tail lights. Got them from my Ford Dealer $185 here in Canada. Installed yesterday, along with new Phillips LED Reverse light bulbs. That along with my two LED flood lights I bought a few months ago and installed and my tail gate LED strip, it sure brightens things up backing into my long driveway in the dark when I come home! Love the FX4 tails, and think I really made the right decision, given my taste. A few pics of before and after, don't mind the dirty truck, and the crappy winter rims.... lots of snow down the last few days, just got the truck cleaned off last night..lol. Thanks for your help guys!

Looks great! You should look into the mod of painting the edge of the inside black so that white outline goes away.
