Sync problem
I'm having a strange problem with sync. Bluetooth audio and line in will not work. My phone will connect, I can make phone calls but when I hit bluetooth audio it says no device is available, then it proceeds to connect a bluetooth device when it's already connected. As for line in, it simply doesn't work. I connect a device and no audio will be heard. the only sources that work are usb, radio and cd. It's not my phone as I tried 3 different phones and all did the same thing. Sync is up to date.
Anyone have this problem and can help me out? Kind of frustrating as I just signed up for satellite radio and need to stream it through my phone.

SYNC can be a strange animal (lots of reasons for that). Have you tried an iPod on the USB to see if that works? And of course I assume after you hit the voice button on the wheel, you say “line-in” or “USB” or “Bluetooth Audio”? Did the “Bluetooth Audio Streaming” work before on the truck? Have you confirmed that the Bluetooth Audio Streaming in the device/phone is turned “on” in that device?
And assuming this is an 2011 F150, I assume it is Gen 1 Ver 3.2.2 for the SYNC?
And if all else fails have you tried the famous Pull Fuse “2” for 5 min?
And because it is SYNC I have absolutely no idea what I am talking about!

You can download the newest update from Syncmyride.com, put it on a usb thumb drive, then transfer it to the truck. Try that.
Then make sure your media volume is turned up on your phone. I know several times I have tied to listen to music from my phone via bluetooth and forgot to turn up my phones volume....and nothing comes across.
Also, try erasing your phone from the trucks bluetooth and re-syncing it.

Your profile indicates you have an '11 F150. Was it built before July 31, 2011? If so take it to your dealer and have them perform TSB 11-10-22. It is a reflash for the the Audio Control Module. It's not a Sync update but an update to the hardware firmware.
I had all sorts of problems with mine and after my dealer applied this, Sync has been 100% perfect for months now. The update takes about an hour to do and is covered under warranty.

Thanks for the link. I guess I need the dealer update as I'm having other problems too such as freezing and it sometimes has a mind of its own. I tried everything mentioned in this thread except for pulling the fuse. I've been streaming through bluetooth since I bought the truck in sept it stopped working last night. Bluetooth streaming is enabled. It has version 3.22 but I'm going to try updating it anyways, I just registered on sync my ride. Thanks for all the help.

SYNC is notorious for having these same type of issues.
Reset to factory, disconnect the battery and try again. Worked for me.
