Sync Mobile Apps
I am having trouble using the Mobile Apps in SYNC apps. I used to be able to push the Mobile Apps button on the screen and it would find Pandora. I like doing it this route because it showed the song info on the touchscreen. Not when I press the button on the screen it does not do anything. I did an online chat with Ford Synch help, but they said the app had to be running on the phone first. This was not the case before but I decide to try it that way but still it did not work. Anyone have any experience with this or how to fix it? Thanks!
Called sync support on Saturday. They were no help. Took 10 minutes to talk to an actual person. They wanted to run through all the normal tricks, disconnect phone, master reset, etc. I told her I had already done all these. At this point she said she had no other options to help and I would need to take it in. So on Wednesday it's going to the dealership. Will update.
I'm not sure it is a sync problem but an S5 problem. I have an S5 as well that Sync can't find a mobile app on sometimes. I have the same problem in my wife's '16 Pilot on my phone but her iPhone works every time in her car (never tried her phone in my truck).

It sounds like none of the troubleshooting worked for you. Since you are already set to go to the dealership, you can let me know if you need anything after that. The next option would be to test the system with a different device. You can try that too.
