Default Sync (and associated buttons) do nothing

I have a 2011 F150 with the basic radio. Whenever I press the phone button or the voice button or Aux I get NOTHING. It acts like nothing has happened and non button has been pressed. I tried unplugging the SYNC module, bought another used sync module with the same part number and that didnt change anything either. Pulled the sync fuse (#2 fuse in the passenger foot well) and that did no good. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I assume you are talking the buttons on the steering wheel itself? Mine was acting hoaky recently,so as others have done, replaced the switch/buttons and all returned to normal.

It acts the same no matter if you push the steering wheel buttons or the buttons on the center radio face its self.

Have you tried disconnecting your battery for 15-20 minutes?

I had a similar issue with mine when I bought it. Mine turned out to be the radio head unit itself, needed replaced. Is your CD player constantly trying to eject (even if there's nothing in there)? The sound is very soft, but if you listen hard, you can hear it. Those buttons are null-and-void if the radio is trying to do something else.

Interesting. Alright, can you still bluetooth to the SYNC? I think that the radio and SYNC are so interconnected that if one starts malfunctioning the other refuses to accept any input from it (i.e. button pushes?). That could be either SYNC side or radio side.

I can not connect via bluetooth BUT the truck is new to me and came that way so I have never had my phone connected to that truck so that to me doesnt really mean anything.
