Default Strobes

Anyone have good ideas where to put strobes? I'm not looking to light up the whole neighborhood, just want something when I'm pulled over on the side of the road or working an event where there are a bunch of people walking around. I've looked @ doing lights in the head/tail lights. Also, has anyone put something in the third brake light?

Strobesrus.com
Whelen.com
Galls.com
Awdirect.com
Try those sites out. I'd get the higher wattage strobes just so you can be scene. Also could mount the suction cup LED lights on the rear window.

also, i would NOT buy from galls or whelen direct unless you want to pay out the @$$. i bought a 6 outlet 90 watt whelen power supply with 4 clear hide a way strobes and 4 15' cables on ebay for $250, the EXACT kit is listed in galls for $400. i buy and install a lot of emergency lights for myself and other people, I use: sirennet.com; lshlights.com, ebay; ledoutfitters.com; strobesnmore.com......that should get you started

I found the cheapest place to be at speedtechlights.com. They have a 4 light (led) setup for 174.95 or a six light (led) for 249.95. And that includes everything you should need.

I'm with Oh4dog i get all my lights from speedtechlights.com they are fast and their products are high quality. i've got the 120 watt strobe in my truck and it is plenty bright. i put a bulb in each of the taillights and i took my reverse light socket out of the lens and put the strobe bulb in its place. it fits perfectly in the factory hole. and i put the other two bulbs up in my parking lights. the nice thing about the lights is that they are a push in style and there are no screws that hold them in. all you have to drill is a 1" hole and stick them in.

People undervalue wigwags (alternating headlight illuminations). Wigwags in endless studies have proven to be visible beyond even overhead blues..

From what I can understand, you said you pulled your reverse light out? Also, has anyone put lights in the third brake light? I'm thinking 2 in the headlights, 2 in the tail lights, and 2 in the third brake light.

Thanks for all of your help guys

Maybe he has HID's. But I agree with you the wigwags are pretty visible.
Mbrook- It would seem to me it'd be a real pain in the rear to run wires up to the 3rd brake likghts for strobes.. Not saying it can't be done.

And thanks to who ever mentioned speedtechlights.com. I never knew about that place.. Pretty good deals, and found a few things that other places didnt carry.

Anybody else have strobe/emergency/construction websites to check out?? anything for LED's-strobes-recovery-and so on...
