I have installed strobes in the 3rd brake light/cargo lights before. NEVER AGAIN! WIRE CHASING NITEMARE! And they weren't very bright because the reflectors in the housing are so small and dull..

Also I wouldn't recommend taking your reverse lights out...that's illegal. Just drill a hole in the side/top/bottom of them and put the strobe in....that way you still have reverse lights and are legal

I have my Whelen Talon on dash and place my Magnet mount Strobe on roof when at work. Im looking at installing those Whelen Vertex dual color LEDs in all four corners soon.

I know you need reverse lights. i took care of that by putting a fire and ice tailgate bar on my truck. but i didnt drill a hole in the reverse light bc one it was a tight fit with both and i get better reflection but using the exsisting hole, by not taking out any more reflector
