Yes, Rescue.... I have 2 usb ports inside my console, that are both hooked up to the back of my 892. I bought Pac USB Adapters (6' in length) for 12.00 off Amazon.com, ran them from the back of the Kenwood. Then under the carpeting, up into the Console, where I drilled 2 holes for the usb connections.

Now I have 3 usb inputs, 1 for Sync, 1 for Mass USB devices from the Kenwood(and Firmware Updates), and a 3rd for Apple devices (my 32gb Ipod Touch). Which you can see inside my console, ones on the Left the other the Right...

Awesome, thanks! I went with a lower spec unit after doing a lot of thinking on how I use my HU now. I have my USB in the glovebox now but really like your setup.

I am getting this but instead of it being a cover, it will velcro under the seat.
