Default Storage

Good morning,

I have a 2014 XLT with a front bench seat, does anyone has any recommendations for storage in the vehicle? (I used to have a vehicle with a large compartment in the arm rest)

Thank you!

Some people swap the center seat section for consoles like this one.

Exactly what I did. Took a few hours but I removed the 2 seats to make sure and vacuum out all the metal shavings. I also installed a led strip connected to the 12volt in there for lighting or its just a dark cave in there. One of the best mods I have done ...imho

I did what most on here do that hate the JumpSeat, I sold my jumpseat and bought a Console on ebay.

I also added some leds on a n.c. pole switch, for much needed light. This Biatch is caverness... I also added Ambient Lighting to, to the cupholder area, as well as the footwells.

Its a simple swap, that takes about a hour.

A few more pics... The 2 round switches you see in front of the cupholders, are for my aftermarket Heated Seat Inserts I installed.

Is that USB connected to your Kenwood? Mind sharing what you did to get it there? I just ordered a new Kenwood HU (yes the other thread got me because mine was 5 years old lol).

On Amazon....

Amazon.com : Carbon Fiber Seat Heater Kit Hi/Lo Setting 3 Years USA Warranty - 2 Seats : Automotive Electronic Security Products : Car Electronics Amazon.com : Carbon Fiber Seat Heater Kit Hi/Lo Setting 3 Years USA Warranty - 2 Seats : Automotive Electronic Security Products : Car Electronics

1st youll need to remove your front seats, then the seat covers to install the heated seat elements. Then reinstall the seat covers, and wire everything up.... Ill lookup the How To Thread for yah...

It takes about 1 &1/2 hour per seat... Well, worth the time spent... I love toasty buns & back!
