The Urethane wheels are junk. You can go high end and install a leather steering wheel or go the wheelskins route.

My urethane wheel was starting to do that, just picked up a leather wheel off eBay, keeping it cleaned and conditioned. Like that better than the crap urethane wheel anyway.
