Default Fuel readings off

I filled the truck up a week ago and put 330 miles on it. My gas gauge read a little under 1/4 tank and miles to empty was 50. I go to fill up and I was only able to fit 20 gallons in the tank before the pump was saying my tank was stuffed. I know, for a fact, that I have roughly a 30 gal tank since I have put in close to 30 gallons before. Is this a fuel pressure/sending unit issue? Do I have a funky fuel gauge?
I do not seem to be getting even ballpark reading from fuel gauge or miles to E.

I tried searching on these forums as well as anything else I could find but have not found a similar issue. Although it could be due to brain fry from all this darn OT at work.

Back story:
62 mile commute to work on highway and filled up before leaving for work. I get roughly half way and I am now at 1/4 tank gas and could watch the gauge moving towards E. I stopped at a gas station and put $25 worth of gas in and the truck would crank but not start. After 30-40 minutes of sitting and trying to start it, it finally started and I made it to work without another fuel issue. I replaced the evap canister purge valve behind the throttle body and cleaned the O2 sensors. Since I did that, I have not had a stalling-after-filling issue or any other issue.

Check your fuel cap seal (you have to replace the cap to replace the seal) If it is not sealing it will throw of the indications and might/might not throw a vacuum code.

there is no cap. there is a yellow ring around the nozzle when I open the fuel door talking about easy fill and E85, which I have never used.

Your fuel sender is bent buddy. When your evap purge valve failed, it caused a vacuum in the tank, which sucks in because it's plastic. The sender bent, and is now showing incorrect fuel levels.

Pretty sure you have either a 26 or 36 gallon tank.

I had a very very similar issue on my truck. I took it to a local shop and they replaced the fuel sending unit. Now it works perfectly!
